Got Flute? Summertime Flute Studio
July 6 - August 16, 2026
All Virtual
6 weeks virtual private flute lessons geared towards you, co-working space, accountability during the summer, guidance on your terms.
Summer is such a beautiful time, the season of sun and joy.
For some, summer is the perfect time to hone their creative skills, dig into something new, or get a leg-up on something coming up. For others, it’s the same, except without accountability and direction, it can be a little more difficult to manage before the end of the season sneaks up.
Fun fact: I was in that second group.
Got Flute? Summertime Flute Studio is designed exactly for that. Entirely virtual, with personalized instruction, goal setting, and consistent accountability check-ins, we can help your progress and skill thrive the summer. Whether you’re working on tone, starting new repertoire, preparing for auditions, want a refresh to your practice strategies, or just wanting to try something new, we can work together to help you stay focused and inspired.

FAQ
-
Post-secondary students, recent grads, high school students who are committed, folks who took a break and wish to play again, people who love playing and want to grow, renew, and/or refresh their skill.
-
In short, yes. We can dust off your old skill. And don’t worry about what you think you “should” be able to do - we meet you where you are right now.
Long version: Learning a new skill (or dusting off an old one) requires some level of commitment. You get out of it what you put into it. From my experience working with people, I’ve seen that those who succeed most in lessons and their craft are those who give music some priority (doesn’t need to be top of the list, and we can discuss what kind of routine works best with your schedule and life), and approach it with an open mind and willingness to learn and try new things.
Everyone progresses at their own pace, and I strive to create a shame-free environment for learning. I meet you where you are in your skill right now, and we work together from there.
Some people like to use their lessons as practice guidance, because they may not have a lot of time to practice, but still would like to play for an hour and have some guidance and feedback. This is completely fine as long as they are okay with how much progression to expect.
Whether your goal is to get better at sight reading, learn some of your favourite music, or learning/having accountability to play for enjoyment, having that extra support with music lessons can help in reaching that goal.
-
No - some choose to do this and some don’t. This is about your goals as a musician and what you would like to get out of your lessons. Whether that’s preparing for something or building on your technique and tone, revamping your practice strategies or just falling back in love with your instrument, this is a welcoming space for you. Everything is tailored to you, and meeting you in the moment where you are in your skill.
